Interested in becoming a member of the Framingham Democratic Town Committee, or just curious to learn more?

You are welcome to attend a future meeting of the DTC and listen in on our proceedings.  Minutes of past meetings for the last few years are posted on the DTC’s website, you will find the link on the DTC home page in the left column or just click here.  The minutes will also help to give you an idea on what goes on within the DTC.

Information on our next meeting is shown at the top of the DTC home page.  A link to the full schedule of meetings is provided on the left column of the home page.

Most people initially join as Associate Members of the DTC.  To do so, a person must be a registered Democrat in the Town of Framingham and attend a meeting of the DTC where he/she states intent to become an Associate Member and then pays the Associate Membership dues.

The Regular Committee Members are elected every four years on the Presidential Primary ballot.  The current DTC Members were elected in March 2004.  The next election for DTC Members will be in 2008.  Vacancies that occur in the Membership are filled by the Committee.  Associate Members who are interested in filling a vacancy can be considered for election by the Committee.

Associate Members do not vote in the regular proceedings of the Framingham DTC.  Associate members can serve on sub-committees of the DTC and may vote on the sub-committee decisions.

Regular Members, Associate Members and also registered Democrats are eligible to seek election as delegates and alternates to the state and national conventions.  Visit the DTC's About Us page for further info.
